Dave Linton

Dave is the founder and executive director of Madlug C.I.C.  He has been a youth worker for over 20 years with leadership experience ranging across a number of youth work positions in local churches and non-profit organisations.

Dave is passionate about God, family, vulnerable children, young people, social entrepreneurship, leadership development, film making, photography, coffee, playing a little squash and more recently bags.

Dave is happily married to Judith and they have two young beautiful daughters. They have more than 10 years’ experience as foster carers. 

 

Rebecca Duncan

Rebecca has 5 years’ youth work experience across a range of youth and community projects. 

Rebecca is passionate about people, coffee, art, shopping (particularly in charity shops). She has a real heart to serve God and others and tries to show this in her life daily. She loves working with young people; getting alongside them and building up relationships with them so that they know that whatever issue they might be facing, they are not alone and they are loved and valued.

Rebecca married Kyle in October 2015, they are both very excited about their future together and whatever it brings!

 

Richard Lyttle

Richard is a qualified Tax technician. He has over 2 years’ experience in a big four accountancy firm. He is also involved in several community groups from engaging with young people at a local drop in center to helping out at local sports clubs.

Richard is passionate about God, people, Kenya, drinking coffee and helping young people come to know their true value. He also plays a variety of sports and particularly enjoys playing sports with family members.

Richard is the youngest member of the Madlug board and is currently enjoying studying Theology at Queens University Belfast.

 

Jonny Calderwood

Jonny has more than 20 years experience in the global life sciences sector.  He has been responsible for business development and marketing strategies to drive growth in the EU, US and APAC clinical trial markets. Jonny is currently the Commercial Development Director at Almac Clinical Services and is a Chartered Marketer. 

Jonny is a passionate about growing small companies by helping them deliver their potential. He is a huge music fan, keen hiker and a devotee of the North Coast. Occasionally he supports both Ulster and Liverpool in person.  

Jonny is happily married to Clare and they have two children.

 

Sharon Brown

Sharon is a fully qualified chartered accountant with over 10 years post qualification experience including working as the internal finance manager of RSM, a firm of traditional accountants, for 6 years. Sharon has recently set up her own business, Magic Beans, with one other co-founder. The business offers real time management reports to assist business decisions and growth; bridging the gap between an in house bookkeeper and a year-end traditional accountant. 

Sharon is passionate about number crunching, helping others, travel, tea, and being eco-friendly.  She also enjoys any activity that involves spending time with her family.  

Sharon is happily married to Chris and they have three older children.

 

When you purchase a bag Madlug will give a bag to a child in care because no child should carry their life in a bin bag.
